There are many types of acne and so a consultation with our Dermatologist ensures the appropriate treatment is prescribed and tailored specifically to your type of acne.  Our treatments may include specialized face washes and creams, systemic treatment (tablets) including antibiotics, medication which can only be prescribed by a Dermatologist, as well as a course of combined skin peels and medical microdermabrasion.

Moles can change during one's lifetime. Any change in a mole should be checked by your doctor or a dermatologist, as it can indicate cancerous change. Routine mole checks are available at Stradbrook Skin with our dermatologist. Moles can be removed either for cosmetic reasons or if it is medically indicated. Surgical removal of moles can be carried out under local anaesthetic at Stradbrook Skin by our Consultant Plastic Surgeon, giving you peace of mind that you are in the most capable hands. All moles that are removed are sent off to the laboratory to check that they are benign..

A scar is a patch or line of tissue that remains after a wound has healed. When a wound occurs and there is a break in some of the tissue in the body, the body heals it by producing more of a protein called collagen. Scars gradually become smoother and will fade over time but can cause distress if unsightly or very visible.

warts and verrucae

Warts or verrucae are a common skin ailment caused by infection with the human papilloma virus. Various treatments are offered at Stradbrook by our Dermatologist, including liquid nitrogen treatment, or "dry ice", to freeze the wart.
